Wolcott Campground

Wolcott Campground offers a rugged, primitive escape situated directly along the banks of the scenic Eagle River. Located just east of the dramatic Red Canyon, this BLM-managed site provides a convenient stopover for travelers navigating the Rocky Mountains. Its proximity to Interstate 70 makes it an exceptionally accessible option for those looking to enjoy a riverside setting without venturing too far from the main corridor.

The campground is best suited for self-sufficient campers who enjoy a minimalist, no-frills experience. Please note that the area operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended to secure a spot.
