Gomez Peak (Group Picnic Site)

Perched at an elevation of 6,458 feet, the Gomez Peak Group Picnic Site provides a scenic, high-altitude setting perfect for large outdoor gatherings. Managed by the U.S. Forest Service, this expansive site is uniquely designed to accommodate up to 200 people and 50 vehicles, making it an ideal destination for family reunions, group outings, or large club events. The facility is well-equipped for hosting, featuring a large covered pavilion, 12 tables with seating for 96, and pedestal BBQ grills. Visitors have access to vault toilets and trash collection services to help maintain the grounds. Please note that no firewood is available on-site, and guests are encouraged to bring their own charcoal or wood for cooking. While the site is open year-round, visitors should come prepared for the remote environment.
