Because of the local wildlife, the campground provides a central, protected shelter for food storage, cooking, and dining; all food preparation and storage must occur in this communal area rather than at individual campsites to ensure safety. Basic amenities include vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water, maintaining a simple, functional environment.

This campground is best suited for tent campers who are well-prepared for primitive conditions and enjoy a communal atmosphere. Since the site often reaches capacity during the peak months of July and August, early arrival is highly recommended.
