Nadelos Campground

Nadelos Campground offers a rugged, primitive outdoor experience managed by the BLM in the heart of California. This site is particularly unique for its direct access to the Chemise Mountain Trailhead, making it an ideal basecamp for hikers and nature enthusiasts looking to explore the surrounding landscape. The setting is quiet and secluded, perfect for those who enjoy a true back-to-nature atmosphere away from the bustle of modern amenities.

The campground provides essential facilities for a comfortable rustic stay, including eight campsites equipped with individual picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets are available on-site for convenience, and the grounds are wheelchair accessible. Please note that this is a primitive location with no utility hookups, so visitors should come prepared for self-sufficient camping.

This campground is best suited for tent campers and RV travelers who prefer a simple, off-grid environment. While individual sites are available, the entire campground can be reserved for large group outings of 20 to 60 people for a fee of $120 per night. All group permit applications must be submitted at least 30 days in advance by contacting the BLM King Range Visitor Center.
