Washington Creek Campground

Washington Creek Campground offers a unique wilderness escape on the southwest end of Isle Royale. Nestled along the banks of Washington Creek near Windigo, this federal campground provides a tranquil setting for those looking to immerse themselves in the pristine environment of the Great Lakes region. The campground features ten shelters and is accessible primarily by foot, canoe, kayak, or private boat. While the campground remains open year-round, please note that there is a three-night stay limit from June 1 through September 17 to accommodate the high volume of summer travelers.
